Itinerary:

Day 1: Cape Town - Oudtshoorn
After an early departure from your Cape Town Hotel, we travel along the famous Route 62 via towns such as Worcester, Robertson, Montagu, Barrydale and Ladismith. At midday we arrive in Oudtshoorn the Capital of the Klein Karoo and capital of the Ostrich Industry and home to the world famous Cango Caves.

Highlights of day 1:

• Tour at an Ostrich Farm - See how ostriches are farmed, and the uses of the products. Have an opportunity to sit on an ostrich, buy the products, eat ostrich meat and eggs.
• Cango Caves - Do a guided tour of the spectacular caves. See the ancient formations, a wonder of nature.

Day 2: Oudtshoorn to Tsitsikamma

Another early departure sees us traveling via the Outiniqua Pass to the Coastal Strip and heart of the Garden Route, through towns such as George, Wilderness, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. This green oasis is characterized by lush forests, white sandy beaches and ancient craggy mountains all within a short few kilometers of each other.

Highlights of day 2:

• Knysna Elephant Park - Experience elephants close up, touch and feed them. Elephants were once very resident in the area.
• Drive the scenic Bloukrans River Pass - See the highest Bungee jump in the world at 216m. Doing the bungee is optional

Day 3: Tsitsikamma to Knysna
Tsitsikamma known as the place of sparkling water. Today we go to the famous Tsisikamma National Park and to just relax and enjoy the morning or take in the short hike to the suspension bridge crossing the Storms River Mouth or a short boat cruise up into the ravine of the river(optional) On our way to Knysna we will stop in at Monkeyland and the Birds of Eden for a short visit as well as a photo stop at millionaires playground, Plettenberg Bay

Highlights of day 3:

• Tsitsikamma National Park - meaning 'sparkling water' the park is a coastal reserve approximately 80km long and home a large number of indigenous plants and birds.
• Monkeyland - is the worlds first free roaming multi-specie Primate Sanctuary

• Birds of Eden - is the largest free flight bird aviary in the world

Day 4: Knysna to Cape Town
Departing our hotel we travel to the top of the Knysna Headlands. Here we see the fierce tides that rip in and out between the narrow heads where the Knysna Lagoon meats the Indian Ocean. Then it's on to Mossel Bay where the first European Explorer, Bartholomew Dias, made his first landing on South African soil. In the afternoon we drive to Cape Town on the N2 passing towns like Swellendam and Caledon. Arriving in Cape Town late afternoon.

Highlights of day 4:

• Drive to the Knysna Heads - take in the beautiful scenery
• Dias Museum and Old Post Office Tree - this is situated at the site where Dias made his landing.
• Replica of the Dias Caravel - 1988, in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of Dias's voyage a replica of a caravel ( the type of ship he sailed) was built in Portugal and sailed to Mossel Bay.
