Before we arrive
Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is a little slice of natural paradise that lies at the heart of Cape Town’s southern suburbs. Join Warren Marks Day Tours so that you and your travelling party will be introduced to the gardens in a personal way.​

The Gardens is a short drive away, and as we reach the slopes of the mountain, you will be amazed at how breathtaking the scenery is. Kristenbosch is situated on an estate of 528 Hectares, and is home to a wide range of indigenous South African plants.

We have arrived
At the entrance we meet up with an old friend of Warrens’. He is considered an expert on the Kristenbosch grounds and he will tell you and your circle stories about the Kristenbosch grounds and why it has become such a famous landmark to visit in Cape Town.​

Kristenbosch is massive in size, which means we need to cover as much ground as we can to be able to see every nook and cranny. We know the best spots for photo opportunities. 

The garden
Kristenbosch Botanic Gardens is known for its fauna and flora. The plant species found here are native to the area. Warren loves standing on the canopy walkway, the “Boomslang” (named after a native tree snake that the Dutch settlers used to let their children play with). This is an amazing viewpoint where you can view the garden grounds and surrounding Cape Town from a birds eye view.

The garden consists of many different plant species, from trees to shrubs to plants, many of which can be used for traditional medicines.

We can’t forget about the wildlife roaming the garden, and if you are lucky, you might spot some. The more curious critters such as butterflies and birds of all shapes and sizes can be seen all around the garden grounds.
